About A Day on Franklin's Farm

A Day on Franklin's Farm is a project dedicated to sponsoring special individuals to spend a day on on Franklin's Farm in rural Eastern North Carolina. The day and experience encourages visitors and participants who are passionate about helping neighbors engage in the community, share a day on a farm, and experience camaraderie and self-value. Franklin's Farm is proud to partner with the Autism Society of North Carolina to provide guests with this unique educational experience.  The 501c3 accredited project aims to collect donations, provide sponsorship and raise awareness for our community in eastern North Carolina and beyond.

Our Approach

We strive to provide a meaningful and impactful experience by guiding participants through a day on Franklin's Farm.  Active, hands-on activities include planting trees, honey harvesting, beehive maintenance, fishing and a myriad of other farm life activities.  Our approach focuses on fostering community engagement, promoting camaraderie, and instilling a sense of self-value through the Franklin's Farm experience.

Our Story

A Day on Franklin's Farm was founded with the vision of creating a space where individuals can find joy, connection, and a sense of belonging through an active day on the farm. Our story is driven by the belief in the transformative power of community support and the grounding values of the farm environment.  All fostered by the Farm's namesake, Franklin Marshburn.  See his story here.
